Worship Service

FAQ

What Should I Expect?

We welcome all to our Sunday morning gathering. It is our desire that you experience the divine as our spiritual community gives thanks to the name of God. All we ask is that you come as you are (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and be ready to be a participant in the exaltation of our Lord. Feel free to lift your hands, stand, kneel, sit, clap your hands, dance, as we worship the Lord together. Finally, extend your hand to someone you don’t know and meet a new friend.

Our hope is that through our worship service you will be greatly inspired to live the life that Jesus Christ calls us to live. The truths taught and discovered here at Mission Valley are timeless and have the potential to change your life. Our prayer is that you might have a life-defining moment, one that will change your perspective concerning the way you see God, the world, and yourself. Come be a part of our family!

What time is service ... What is it like?

Our service begins at 10:00 AM every Sunday and concludes at 11:30 AM. The service begins with about 15 minutes of singing. The lyrics are projected onto a screen so everyone is welcome to participate. Our music is upbeat and spirit filled! God has given us life and hope at Mission Valley and we long to lift up a new song to the Lord each Sunday. The style of music is comtemporary worship with hymns and choruses sung every so often. The congregation is encouraged by the worship leader and band to join in giving glory to our God! After a few announcements, we spend about 30 minutes having one of our Pastors teach from the Bible. (To listen to a previous sermon, click here) We conclude with a time of praise and worship.

Where do my kids go during service?

We have something for kids of all ages.

Ages Birth - 3 years: Childcare is available so you may attend services without worrying about your little one. If you choose to have your child stay with you during service and they become restless, we do offer a cry room located behind the sound board. (10:00 AM - Nursery Room)

Preschool - Grade 5: Kids meet together with other kids their age where they experience and learn with hands-on activities, Bible stories and songs. We have awesome leaders that give their time each week to help them have fun learning God's Word. (10:00 AM - Rooms 1, 4/5, 10 and the Music Room)

Youth (Jr. High - High School): Youth will stay in the main service to experience Worship through song. They will then be excused to Sunday School with the Youth Director except on the 1st Sunday of each month. Our youth are the future of the church and we strive to help them build a firm foundation that will prepare them for a bright future. (10:15 AM - Youth room)

What should I wear?

We are more concerned with meeting your needs than what you wear, so dress comfortably! You will see people dressed in everything from "Sunday attire" to very casual and comfortable. The important thing is that you come!

Absolutely! You can contact any of our Pastoral staff for prayer needs or fill out a Prayer Request form here. Also, someone will personally pray for you after service when you come to the front of the Sanctuary.
